History & association

An association built through years of field work

The DRENI Hunting Association – Debresh today brings together more than 400 members. Its activity goes beyond hunting days: the work includes organizing members, field inspections, monitoring wildlife, caring for habitats, cooperating with institutions and respecting hunting-ground rules.

The year 2007 is part of DRENI’s identity and appears in the association’s logo. Over the years, the association has increased its membership and field presence, becoming an important organizing point for the hunting community of Debresh and Gostivar.

Under the leadership of Hasim Adilit, DRENI has continued working to strengthen the association, organize its membership and achieve one of its most important objectives: taking responsibility for hunting ground Reçanë nr. 7 in 2026, according to information provided by the association.

This achievement brings a new responsibility: managing a hunting territory requires oversight, planning, wildlife protection and enforcement of rules, not only the organization of hunting. DRENI aims to manage this territory in an orderly, sustainable way with respect for nature.

“Hunting is not only a passion; it requires discipline, responsibility, knowledge of the terrain and respect for nature.”

HUNTING GROUND NO. 7

Reçanë – territory and official boundaries

The Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia lists “Ловиште бр. 7 Речане” and describes the hunting-ground boundaries using topographic points, local roads, villages and watercourses.

Southern boundary

It starts at T-1798 on “Mala Planina”, passes through K-1713 and T-1595 “Bunec”, continues toward K-1236, descends into the valley to K-953, passes through Orqushe and connects with the Dufska River to Reçanë.

Southeast / east

From Reçanë it continues northeast along the local Gostivar–Duf road to Zdunjë, then toward Debresh and along the villages below the Šar Mountains to the junction for Pozharan.

Terrain

The official description shows a mountainous and hilly hunting ground connected with the villages of the Gostivar region and the area below the Šar Mountains.

Management

The administrative boundary should not be confused with areas where hunting is permitted at any given time; specific outings depend on the management plan, permit, season and association instructions.
